Summary

H.B. Zachry School, a 90,000 sq.ft. is designed for 950 students with a focus on energy efficiency. Serving pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The building is arranged into three wings connected by two circulation trunks. This arrangement creates not only an easily navigable interior circulation but also the ability to extend the West Wing. The design orientation aimed to ensure maximum efficiency by providing daylighting opportunities and minimum East-West exposure at the windows.
