Imaginarium of South Texas

ARCHITECTURE | EDUCATION FACILITIES

Summary

The Imaginarium of South Texas is a one story, 8,200 square feet interactive children’s museum and science center which serves as an educational and recreation meeting point for our community. Its remodeling and expansion provided an opportunity to bring together all the exhibits in a cohesive manner as well as provide a more functional environment. The museum features over 30 exhibits, a Tech Lab, Library, Party Area, Toddler Area and Gift Shop as well as a workshop and administration offices. The design ties together educational exhibits and centers them around a kid-sized Town Plaza, enhancing the sense of community and showing the interrelationship between the different areas that inform our society, such as nature, history, technology, trade, and art. All within an environment that is inviting to kids and adults alike.
