Marketing Manager

Location: San Antonio (prefered)

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Track and update our CRM suite
  • Identify and outline requirements of solicitations
  • Execute and manage multiple responses to solicitations
  • Manage Adobe InDesign templates 
  • Manage the updating of a company-wide project information and marketing database 
  • Write and update collateral materials for project descriptions, proposals, website, social media, presentations
  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics and creating reports
  • Coordinate relationships with external team members to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing materials and messaging
  • Represent the company and partners at all times with pride for the value proposition they bring to the market 

 

SKILL SET 

  • Experience in creative writing across various channels – proposals, publications, social media, websites (submit writing samples and one-paragraph that articulates why you want to work at Able City)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InCopy)
  • Strong foundation in graphic quality
  • Experience in the architecture and engineering industry is highly preferred
  • Ability to represent the partners of the organization and the company with respect and with regard to the contributions they are making to the industry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships; comfortable working with a broad range of people 
  • Ability to successfully meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities; comfort with performing several tasks concurrently

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, architecture, planning, public policy, marketing, communications, or other relevant field
  • 3 years of similar or transferable work experience

Architectural Staff Level 2

Location: San Antonio, Laredo, or McAllen, TX

 

Able City’s mission-driven team integrates architecture, planning, economic development, and community engagement to achieve virtuous cycles that lead to thriving communities. Able City is contributing to the evolution of cities by helping citizens define quality of life and responding to these community needs through our proven methodologies, planning, and design work. We have a passionate office culture centered around our company’s value proposition to make cities great places for everyone. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic creative to join our team and assist in the design and development of projects that support “able cities” such as learning environments, civic spaces, historic buildings, sacred places, and a variety of commercial and industrial facilities. 

 

You will be tasked to:

  • Contribute to architectural design deliverables in various platforms and media formats
  • Develop construction documents with a high degree of autonomy in collaboration with the project team
  • Research and report on design and construction materials and methods

 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 yrs experience
  • BArch and/or Master in Architecture
  • Excellent BIM skills
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and other post process and presentation graphic software
  • Ability to work with a diverse team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and technical, yet experienced enough to see the big picture
  • Experienced, self-directed professional
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Desire to be mentored by senior staff and provide mentorship to less experienced staff
  • Ability to be flexible and able to adapt to rapidly changing project requirements and deadlines

Associate Level 2

Associate Level 2 – Architectural Design Lead (full time) 

Location: San Antonio (preferred)

Able City is contributing to the evolution of cities by helping citizens define quality of life and responding to these community needs through our proven methodologies, planning, and design work. We have a passionate office culture centered around our company’s value proposition to make cities great places for everyone. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic creative to lead our architectural design workflow and strengthen our culture. This architecture design leader will work with our team of principals and clients and respond with design solutions that integrate client and community needs. 

Projects focus on architecture types that support “able cities” such as learning environments, civic spaces, historic buildings, sacred places, and a variety of commercial and industrial facilities.

 

The position will challenge you to: 

  • Lead a team of architectural and urban designers to develop design concepts, schematic design, plans and renderings that convey the design solutions to the principals and client.
  • Keep design consistent with budget 
  • Coordinate and attend design reviews with clients, project managers, and municipal agencies.
  • Develop and coordinate architectural plans, elevations, and building sections.
  • Provide design direction on details for the production team. 
  • Collaborate with the team of consultants to prepare the project’s systems prior to its transition to the production team. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Strong design aesthetic 
  • Knowledge and understanding of classical proportions and human-scaled architecture
  • Practice responding to and enhancing the urban environment 
  • 10+ years of experience as an Architect or Architectural Designer 
  • BArch or Master’s degree in Architecture 
  • CNUA preferred 
  • Licensed as a registered architect highly preferred. 
  • Excellent BIM skills
